    This. Is. Absolutely. Brilliant.

Today I stumbled upon what is quite possibly the most hilariously brilliant and well-thought-out piece of political commentary I've ever seen.

It's a site called the 3 Trillion Dollar Shopping Spree.  Basically this is the deal: since the war in Iraq has cost the U.S. 3 Trillion Dollars, the site shows you other things the money could have been spent on (but under the facade of being an Amazon.com-type site).  Amongst things like "New Clothing, Shoes, Coats, and School Supplies for Ten Million Children" (at a cost of $10,000,000) they throw in other items like "Hannah Montana Anti-static Pink Hair Brush" (at a cost of $10.99).

I'd like to point out that the views on the site may or may not reflect my own personal political opinions, I just like the ridiculousness of the concept.  Check out the site here.

    Hey Jason,
Cool site, sad way to look at the monetary costs of the occupation.
With taxes sent this week this site shows how income tax is allocated.
    www.nationalpriorities.or...
"Taxpayers can take stock of how the federal government spent their 2007 income tax dollars: over 40 percent went towards military spending, while education received just over 4 percent. This publication shows how the median income family's 2007 income tax dollars were spent for every state and 200 cities, towns and counties."
    Peace
