    Metallica attracted to No. 1!

Thursday, October 2, 2008, 12:17 AM PST [General]

Next week, for the third week in a row, Metallica's Death Magnetic will hold on to the number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart.  The album is only the second this year to reign for three straight weeks; Jack Johnson's Sleep Through the Static was the first.  According to numbers from Nielsen SoundScan, Disney star Demi Lovato's debut record Don't Forget debuts at number two nudging Ne-Yo's Year of the Gentleman from the two spot down to number three.  Kings of Leon have their highest start at number four with their latest effort, Only by the Night and the ****cat Dolls' new disc, Doll Domination, begins at five.  R&B newcomer Jazmine Sullivan's Fearless enters the chart at six and Kid Rock's Rock N Roll Jesus drops from four to seven, a week shy of an entire year on the chart.  Rounding out the top ten are Joe's Joe Thomas, New Man!, opening at number eight, Young Jeezy's The Recession falling from six to nine and the Jonas Brothers' A Little Bit Longer, which rose one spot from 11.
