The Happy Hollows

On tonights show we are going to spin a track from the band The Happy Hollows. The group has been featured in a TON of magazines and newspapers basically everything from The LA Times to Nylon magazine! The LA Times said "The Happy Hollows are almost as fun conceptually as they are sonically. They've become the latest indie darlings in Silver Lake thanks to an almost pugilistic mix of stinging guitars, turbulent rhythms and shouted vocals...The Hollows' clipped pop -- imagine that somebody rewired the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, or squeezed the Pixies into a compact-car parking space". Tonights BRAND NEW episode is going to feature the track "Dirty Laundry" by LA duo, Bitter:Sweet. Are you a fan of old spy movies from the sixties (think James Bond)?? Then this music is perfect for you! Swanky, smooth, and hip. The two - Shana and Kiran - infuse horns to their music and it will make you feel like you are in a really cool car chase! The duo may sound familiar to you as well because their music has been chosen to be the theme song to the TV show Lipstick Jungle.
